In Defense of Porn

From "Open Letter from a Dismayed Pornographer," by John B. Root, in Liberation, a Paris daily. Quoted in this month's Harper.
I've taken the liberty to select some quotes, enjoy

"The presupposition their holy crusade is founded on: sex is dirty and dangerous; the sight of a caress or of a coupling is threatening to the psychological equilibrium of our darling little angels. This, then, is the new flag flag these holy warriors are marching under: the protection of the younger generations. It's good, this battle flag -- good for hiding behind. He who doesn't rally around it is, no doubt, an anarchist or a pedophile."

"Tell me what kind of pornography you have and I'll tell you what sort of society you live in."

"All of human society is sexualized. "

"The fact of the matter is, it's those who've never seen any porn who have the worst to say about it."

enjoy.
